Casas Del Sol, Playa Blanca
Casas Del Sol
Casas Del Sol was one of the first developments of privately owned villas to be built in Playa Blanca and therefore managed to secure the best location. Being just opposite the harbour, all the amenities of Playa Blanca are on your doorstep, it doesn’t get much better than this! Set in mature tropical gardens, there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with plenty of space to unwind and fantastic facilities to enjoy. For all the essentials there is a supermarket just across the road from complex.
Set in colourful tropical gardens, which are lovingly maintained by the resident gardener, Casas Del Sol has it all! Most definitely the best location in Playa Blanca, just opposite the old fishing harbour, means the beautiful beaches, restaurants and shops of Playa Blanca are literally a 2 minute walk away!
Although Casas Del Sol is centrally located, the complex has a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. It really is the best of both worlds, a tranquil haven, yet only a short stroll from all Playa Blanca has to offer. There is a large swimming pool which is heated all year round, smaller childrens pool and a plentiful supply of sun loungers. For your peace of mind there is a Lifeguard on duty at the poolside. There are also 2 tennis courts and boules pitch.
Playa Blanca, originally a pretty fishing village, has been sympathetically developed with style and tradition to put it at the forefront of upmarket Spanish resorts. It has an attractive seafront promenade which links the resort together and is lined with lovely waterfront restaurants. The promenade is flat and well made and therefore leisurely strolls can be enjoyed by everyone. A walk to the Marina Rubicon with its waterfront restaurants and designer shops is highly recommended. There are many waterfront cafes with tables and chairs placed outside on the wooden verandas, perfectly placed to enjoy a cool drink and admire the yachts moored in the calm water. There is also an artisan market held at the Marina every Wednesday and Sunday.
Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the island and therefore benefits from the best weather. It is regarded as more upmarket than the other resorts on the island and is perfect for those looking for guaranteed sunshine and beautiful beaches. Eating out is an important pastime for both locals and tourists, there are many quality restaurants, tapas bars and family run eateries to choose from, offering great food, great wine and a genuinely warm welcome.
Famous for its pristine, white sandy beaches with safe, shallow water, Playa Blanca is perfect for those looking for a beach holiday. The lovely Playa Flamingo beach is just a few minutes walk from the villa, lovely soft sand with great facilities, ensure a relaxing day at the beach.
Playa Dorada, literally translates as ‘the golden beach’, is just a short walk along the sea-front footpath, it has lovely, honey coloured sand and calm water, perfect for swimming and soaking up the sun. There are plenty of sunbeds, parasols and beachfront cafes, restaurants and shops.
Papagayo is probably the most famous of all beaches in Playa Blanca, it is more secluded, accessed by a track or by water taxi from the harbour, however it is well worth a visit for those who like to get away from it all. Maintained and managed to an extremely high standard, Casas Del Sol is one of the most highly regarded resorts on the island. If you manage to tear yourself away from the comfort of the villa, there are endless options of things to do.
